Offers consultancy in the Geotechnical Engineering field under leadership of Mr. S. S. Bapat.
Offers services for Third Party Technical Audit.The department has carried out Third Party Technical Audit for Kolhapur drainage (IRG Rs. 13 Lakhs) and Water supply project (IRG Rs. 22 lakh) in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Student’s involvement in such consultancies is ensured to give them the exposure to the activities.
AUTO CAD Training Programme was arranged for the Maharashtra State PWD officers in May 2014. In total128 officers were trained. Total resource generation was 5.12 lakhs.
AUTO CAD Training Programme was arranged for the Land records new recruits in February 2013.
Outreach programme of three months was organized during Aug. 2012-Sept.2012. Indian Institute of Remote sensing, Dehradun was the resource institute. Interested B.Tech and M.Tech students from various departments were benefited.
Dr. K. S. Gumaste has arranged a demonstration of plumbing materials by the representatives from Finolex Industries on 11th Oct. 2010.
A joint project with HCC Ltd. (Corporate Social Responsibility project) was carried out by involving faculty and students from Civil Engineering. Dept. the project involves survey, planning and estimation for a lake site and two locations at Kihim near Alibagh for the beautification of the region. The site work has been carried out in the month of August 2009 by a group of nine students under the guidance of Shri A. K. Mali, Lecturer from the department.
A two-day workshop was conducted by Shri Rajendra Deshpande, Deputy General Manager (Designs), HCC Ltd. Mumbai. on processing the observations and records collected from the site at Kihim (CSR project). The estimation and cost analysis was done by students with the use of AUTO CAD and MICROSOFT EXCEL under the guidance of Shri A. K. Mali and Shri Rajendra Deshpande.
The Department organized Seminar on 11.10.2010 for SY Civil Engineering students in the area of ‘Plumbing for Water supply and Sanitation in Buildings’. The lectures were delivered by Shri. Jamblikar and Prof. S. M. Patil in this area.
