The college has set-up a separate community cell/polytechnic funded by government of Maharashtra. Numbers of programmes have been organized to address training needs of employed/unemployed/skilled/unskilled persons through this cell. The activities conducted for community development through this cell include training programmes on office automation, accounting, typing, motor rewinding, tailoring, bag/garment making, building supervisor, electrician, foundry, fashion designing, mobile repairing, refrigeration, art work, nursing, AUTOCAD and welding.
The CDTP is one of the leading program in the state of Maharashtra & established provide skill development programs, appropriate technology transfer and to provide the technical support services for the betterment of the community. The CDTP activities are managed by the Polytechnic Wing of the institute.
The CDTP is sponsored by the MHRD, Govt. of India and functions as per the MHRD-CDTP norms.
Under Community polytechnic, many awareness programs have been organized to nearby places specifically for under-privileged societal sector, like village & sub-urban schools, etc., for educating masses on health care, equipment care, tailoring, computer training etc. every year.
The college is recognized is recognized as a training center by industries (e.g.Kirloskar brothers) for training lower cadre workers.
