About AGC Library ...
The spacious library of the college holds the total 100352 Reading Material Collection. Consisting of 52598 Books, 35199 Book Bank Books, 12555 Bound Volumes of Technical / Non-Technical Journals, Magazines, accumulated over last six decades. It subscribes to 65 Technical, 8 Science and 8 General Journal / Magazines. We have received 1060 + IEEE Archival 12703 Online journals including IEEE(164), ASCE(34), ASME (26), Springer link(198), Science Direct(275), McGraw Hill E-book(363). It issues more than 1269 Book Bank sets to the students including Social Welfare Free Book Bank Scheme for SC / ST scholarship holder students and TEQIO Trible Book Bank to Students.
All reading material including Books, Bound Volumes of Periodicals, Dissertations and Non-Print Material such as CD’s etc. are included in the library database. It provides Intranet based Online Public Access Catalogue facility to all readers and also allows open access facility to all members.
Digital Library under TEQIP grant : A Separate Section is dedicated to Digital Library in AGC Library where 50 high end terminals were provided. Library has purchased and developed with association of CCF.E-learning resources worth Rs.22 Lakhs and loaded at Central Server at CCF. This facility can be available from anywhere in the entire campus through INTRANET by students and staff as well. On intranet through wi-fi under TEQIP-II grant library has enriched reading material on well as subscribed to online journals as above.
The Department is mainly backed by Applied Mechanics Department which caters subjects like, Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Dynamics of Machinery, Engineering Mechanics & drawing. It is also backed by the Central Workshop facilities for providing hands-on training in the conventional machining and other traditional trades like Smithy, Forging, Welding, Foundry and Pattern Making. A Stream Power Laboratory is also being used for training the departmental students.
Walchand Hirachand Memorial Trust, Mumbai has generously donated of Rs.25 Lacks to the Library and library has purchased 1372 world class international reference books in the Ajit Gulabchand Central Library.

In addition to the Central Library each department maintain departmental library with adequate resources for ready reference for the staff and students as well.
In 1947, WCE was founded in Sangli with just over 120 students. Today, it has more than 4,000 students taking various courses in Engineering and Technology.
